ART TECHABOUT THE PROJECT

ART TECH

The ArtTech project represents a collaborative effort involving partners from different regions, including Italy (South), Romania (Centre), and Lithuania (North). Its primary aim is to empower young women aged 19 to 29 by offering them a unique blend of technology and art, coupled with cultural exploration. Through informal and engaging learning experiences, the project seeks to foster inclusivity, creativity, and personal growth among disadvantaged young girls.
The gender perspective in the project is essential because according to our need analysis, the youth sector remains highly influenced by gender-based inequalities. Specifically, young women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, face gender specific challenges related to education, employability and civic participation.
As such the project is addressed to this target group because they are the most at risk to suffer irreversible effects caused by gender inequalities, accentuated by the current social, economic situations, reducing their access to education and information, and access to decision-making processes, leading to lost opportunities, lack of self-confidence and interest to be actively involved in society. By providing digital technology knowledge, skills and attitudes through art creation we encourage them to explore new forms of self-expression.

OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS

The concrete objectives and outcomes for the ArtTech project are outlined as follows:
• Provide young women with opportunities to develop their digital technology skills through art and creativity
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participants to appreciate and celebrate cultural
diversity, fostering a sense of unity and gender free society
• Build an international network that celebrates the achievements and narratives of young women, connecting them with
peers and mentors from diverse backgrounds

Outcomes/Results:
- The project will result in enhanced digital and art creative skills of young women acquiring new digital and creative skills,
increasing their employability and adaptability in a technology-driven world.
- A Virtual "ArtTech Expo" will showcase cross-cultural collaborations and innovative digital artworks created by participants
in a virtual "ArtTech Expo."
- An empowered community of young women who have gained confidence, developed valuable skillsets and shared
meaningful experiences.
- Strengthened partnerships and networks among the collaborating organizations and their respective communities.

These objectives and outcomes are linked to selected priorities because they promote empowering young women, bridging
the gender gap in technology, and fostering inclusivity and confidence in fields traditionally dominated by men. By enhancing
young women's digital literacy and creative competencies and creating a supportive learning environment, our project
actively promotes gender equality.
